goody giveaway no. 9

It's been a long spell since I posted a giveaway and I'm super excited to tell you about this one. Nik Bresnick of Bittersugar is kindly offering one reader a 5x7 letterpress print of the Seattle Space Needle. Perfect for framing, the 3-color image is printed on Cranes Lettra 110 pound all-cotton pearl white paper (just a little info for the paper/printmaking geeks).

Portland peeps may want to take a moment to check out Bittersugar's limited edition print of the Saint John's Bridge, one of our city's beloved landmarks. So, so beautiful...

  1. Oh, I would love this! My all time favorite city (realistically) to visit is in fact Portland, OR! Love it, may move there someday. In fantasy world it is Paris. I was there for 18 hours on a fluke and loved it! Need to go back.....

  5. Carina, i have never been to seattle but i just KNOW that if i ever lived there, it would be my happy place. I just know. Is that weird? i would loveee this! (thanks for the chance!)

my favorite place to visit- hands down in Italy. It is why my blog is called Dolce Vita. The summer i was 19 i walked hand in hand with a beautiful boy called Francesco. The summer of my life. He broke my heart but it was all worth it and Italy will always be the sweetest place on earth, even still.

  6. Budapest. Though really I most like the Pest half of the dual-city. The people aren't exactly known for their warmth and generosity but can you blame 'em? Nothing but regime changes around there for decades and decades. Nonetheless, the history, beauty, art, architecture and food is all worth the sometimes less-than-friendly locals. Not to mention the spas!

  7. Thanks for visiting my blog yesterday! You have such a lovely blog -- and what a great giveaway.

Let's see, my favorite city to visit would have to be Boston. I tried living there for awhile, but missed the NW too much. I loved it though and now try to get back once a year.

  8. Oh, gotta love letterpress! If I win, I'll have a hard decision to make: keep it for myself or give it to my mother-in-law who lives in Seattle... hmmm.

Favorite city is Paris, mostly because that's where my hubby proposed to me (yep, right under the Eiffel tower!)

  9. Just posted it over at cecilyink.blogspot.com. Fingers crossed :) Oh, and favorite city this side of the big pond (besides Portland, of course) has to be Vancouver, B.C. So design-savvy and European in its sensibilities, yet just a short drive away.

  10. Ok tough question! I've only stopped over in Seattle briefly, but I'd love to spend more time there, and I live in Chicago, which is an amazing city. But...my all-time favorite city to visit is Santiago de Chile! It's beautiful!

  11. What a fun question and fun stationery as well. I think my all time favorite place was London, I was able to spend a week there several years ago and I just loved the city all the history and the museums and riding the London eye gave such spectacular views of the city.

  12. I only get to pick one city? Hmmm...Jerusalem because that's the closest I've been to where it all started and I love wandering through the old city markets and stumbling upon quiet little gardens and how the light glows off the Jerusalem stone walls. But that makes me think of Venice and New York and then back to my hometown of Seattle. Exploring a new (or old city) is always an experience.

  14. What a great giveaway! I love that print, and the one of St. John's Bridge! If I didn't live in Portland, I'd say it was my favorite city to visit. But since I DO live here, I have to say Sydney, Australia. It was the first city in Australia I lived in and although it was only for a year, it holds a lot of special memories.

  15. Does it have to be in the States because we had a blast on our honeymoon in Sydney among other cities in Australia. Can't wait to go back!

  20. My favorite city to visit used to be Portland. I liked it so much I had to move here! If that doesn't count then I'd say Amsterdam, which in retrospect reminds me a lot of Portland. Lovely print :).
