An array of talented illustrators at the National Stationery Show, as always. I love seeing original work from the minds of creatives. I was particularly pleased to spot Foxtail Press again, this line was a favorite debut from the 2010 show.

Much love for my Canadian pals (Hi Fiona!). Loved spotting little love notes from our neighbors to the North throughout NSS - designed by both Canadians and enthusiasts, such as myself. Check out these other excellent Canadian stationers that exhibited, as well:

Banquet Atelier & Workshop
Kate & Birdie
Katie Muth
Pantry Press
Smitten Kitten
Yellow Bird Greetings

I've always been drawn to punchy color and am excited to see neon making a comeback the last couple of years. Fellow enthusiasts can take a peek at my color picks from NSS 2010 and 2009 too.

I think it goes without saying that this post could easily have been a mile long. So many interesting and diverse designers have turned to letterpress as their medium, in recent years. Check back for more letterpress lusciousness in other categories - I have 10 more NSS posts slated.

{2011 national stationery show} focus on: gift wrap

{gift wrap from avie designs}

{reusable fabric gift wrap by chewing the cud}

{flat wrap by kate & birdie}

{rolled gift wrap from ink + wit}

{gift boxes and double-sided gift wrap from smock}

{new gift wrap from up up creative}

I delight in spying new gift wrap designs at NSS each year. I'm a firm believer that half of gift giving is the effort of wrapping it up in a fun way. Eieio Studio always has some great designs, unfortunately I didn't capture any photos at the show. Who am I missing? Would love to hear about more lines with great wrap offering...

Quite a stellar turn out for new National Stationery Show exhibitors this year. This is truly just the tip of the iceberg. I was quite impressed with the quality and cohesiveness of both booth design and collections. Can't wait to see what many of the newbies do next, other than catching up on some much deserved rest and relaxation!
