covetable chronicle:
botanical garland by rifle paper co.

I'm rather excited to share another giveaway from Chronicle Books! Today we have a set of Botanical Garlands designed by Rifle Paper Co. I love this concept, as it's reusable and you don't have to stick to just standard greetings. I for one, would make a banner that read "Oh Happy Day" with this fun little kit. Rifle has partnered with Chronicle for several brilliant collaborations, I am quite fond of the entire Botanicals series and have gotten much use out of the labels & stickers.

To enter the giveaway:
Head over to the Crow & Canary Facebook page and like or comment on the Chronicle giveaway post at the top of the page. Really, that's all. I will randomly choose one winner the afternoon of Friday, 11/2/12 and announce it on the C&C Facebook page.

Just a reminder: Comments on this blog will not be considered an entry. Good luck!

studio glimpse: farewell paperie

Beautiful sampling of custom designs by Farewell Paperie.
Envelopes and assorted inventory - paper lover's paradise!
Pretty art collection.
Where the magic happens! Don't you love the color test prints in the background?
Jen is pulling down shades to protect their product from dust and fading - so clever.
Sir Harley, resident cutie canine
I feel super fortunate to have met Jen and Lisa of Farewell Paperie at the Tradeshow Bootcamp session in LA this last February. I really hit it off with both of these lovely ladies and their line of paper goods is a brilliant mix of laugh out loud funny wit and just plain gorgeous design.

Farewell Paperie just relocated their studio headquarters to Seattle, WA earlier this summer; their studio is located in the Georgetown neighborhood of Seattle and is in such an awesome space!

I had the pleasure of taking a little peek around last month and meeting studio dog extraordinaire, Harley, seriously - this guy is a charmer. Keep your eyes on this talented duo, I'm sure there will be some fun open studio events to come and definitely more fabulous product on the horizon. Thanks again, L & J!

introducing: olivebox

We are truly excited to be working with OliveBox, the new subscription service for themed paper and gift goodies! I was a delighted recipient of September's floral themed box which featured a card and notebooks from Rifle Paper Co., stickers from Knot & Bow and a heavenly scented soap from Saipua.

OliveBox officially launched this week and in honor of their debut, they are giving away a gorgeous vintage typewriter. You can enter to win by signing up for a subscription by 9/21/12.

And we are particularly excited about October's box, as a beloved Crow and Canary designer is featured with one of our favorite new products. Definitely not to be missed!

Hello lovely Crow & Canary readers/general appreciators of awesome paper-y goodness. It's your new friend Amy from Old Sweet Song. When Carina asked me if I'd like to attend the National Stationery Show as her press person and then blog about it for her, I jumped at the chance. As a lifelong lover of all things pretty and paper, this was kind of a dream assignment for me.

I had the best time wandering the aisles of the Javits Center, getting lost among all the gorgeous (and admittedly sometimes not so gorgeous) paper and chatting with all the nice people at the various booths. There was an insane amount of wonderful things on display at NSS. This week I'm gonna share some of my favorite things that I saw. To make it easy, I've divided things up into silly little categories, because who doesn't love silly little categories?

I'm in awe of all the talent and loveliness I encountered. A big thank you to Carina for having me along for all the fun. And come say hi to me over at Old Sweet Song.

xo,
Amy

I'm pleased to report that Crow and Canary's debut at the National Stationery Show was a smashing success, so much so that I didn't get a moment away from my own booth that didn't include eating a frenzied lunch or visiting the washroom. A wonderful dilemma to have, but I must admit that I'm still in mourning that I wasn't able to walk the show a bit. Luckily, I've been able to live vicariously through some other great blogger's coverage - that helps ease the sting a bit.

On the bright side, my lovely friend Amy of Old Sweet Song will be back next week with her NSS coverage. I was so very fortunate to have her as a C&C correspondent at the Javits. So, five more days of paper geekery headed your way, sweet readers.

sneak peek: two trick pony

Things are bustling in Two Trick Pony's stable these days. The ponies have been hard at work with a brand new collection debuting at NSS in the C&C booth. Not only is there more to the bold, typographical series that you see above, they're also releasing a gorgeous new holiday collection that is flat printed - making boxed sets quite budget friendly. I'm also quite excited about their new postcard collections and series of prints.

Gallop on over to Booth No. 3024 to take a gander.
