This last month I've had the honor of contributing to some fantastic websites. I was truly flabbergasted when Rena Tom of Rare Device fame, approached me for an interview. She's profiled some true design greats and I'm honored to have a place in the mix.

I've also had the distinct pleasure of contributing several holiday card round-ups for Curbly this year. I met Curbly's editor-in-chief, Chris Gardner, at Alt Summit and it's always such fun to put together some picks for them. The latest: '12 Stylish Modern Holiday Cards' is up now.

The "You're a Peach" card would be positively perfect for Kimberley, our east coast C&C rep. I'm particularly loving this postcard - I can think of at least a dozen people I want to send it to!

You may already be familiar with Betsy & Iya's fabulous line of jewelry, I'm certainly a fan - they've recently opened a lovely storefront in NW Portland. They seriously have the cutest goods and I'm pleased to share that SusyJack* is now being stocked there.

trade show sergeant, at your service

I have an exciting giveaway to offer readers that are thinking about taking the leap into wholesale trade show exhibition! Tradeshow Bootcamp is a series of teleconference workshops that were developed by my friend Katie of Kelp Designs. The workshops were offered this spring and were well received and now fall session is in full swing.

I've really been crushing on Laura George's work lately. I discovered her designs at Zim Zim and have been essentially stalking her Etsy shop since. The sentiments and mood are perfectly perfect. It would be kind of criminal if I didn't bring this amazing card to your attention too.

Flora is a shop that I always recommend to friends and fellow bloggers when visiting Portland. They offer a large selection of local designer's goods (4 of the lines featured above are made in Oregon) and their jewelry selection is unrivaled. I'm now the proud owner of a pair of Demimonde earrings, after my visit on Monday.

Flora is also quite knowledgeable about tea and offer custom blends for their customers. Lucky for you non-locals, they have a website that features many of their lovely wares - shop online here.

book review and giveaway: today's top stationery artists 2

I was utterly ecstatic to hear that Tori Higa was releasing a new edition of her book, Today's Top Stationery Artists this spring. Both books include biography's and images from a lovely array of 52 stationers, but the new book also includes 16 in-depth interviews of some of the featured lines-- what a treat!

Tori does an excellent job of selecting contributors and I was particularly pleased to see some C&C designers profiled again, including: 8mm Ideas, Ghost Academy, SusyJack* and Two Trick Pony.

Tori has been kind enough to offer one C&C reader a copy of Today's Top Stationery Artists 2, she really is a gem!

a tasty new collection from sycamore street press

I was overjoyed to see Sycamore Street Press' new French pastry collection today - including a gorgeous 2012 calendar. One of my favorite destinations in Portland is St. Honoré Bakery with the most drool-worthy case of pastries in the Pacific NW. However, I think the paper variety would be a bit friendlier to the waistline. Such a lovely and original collection, kudos!

custom stationery from dear hancock.

I couldn't possibly be any more pleased with my new custom stationery from Dear Hancock. Gwendolyn and Earnest, the talent behind Dear Hancock, are two of the nicest people I've ever met in the industry and they were kind enough to find time in their busy schedules to paint my desk. They added some C&C cards to "my desk" too which has to be the most perfect touch ever.

If you're having a case of envy, don't fret -- DH offers an entire desk collection to suit many tastes and hobbies. They also offer (impeccable) custom design if you'd like your own desk immortalized in stationery infamy. I highly recommend it!
