tradeshow spotting: the paper storage co.

Exhibiting at NYIGF last month was awesomely busy again, only downside to our popularity is that it left little time for perusing. Luckily I made the most of my time en route to the restroom or to grab a bite to eat and was able to see a few new lines that were entirely new to me.

A Japanese exhibitor, Paper Storage Company, had a booth that made a distinct impression on me. I'm a complete sucker for cute and unique boxes, whether to use a storage or as gift wrap and these were beauties were calling my name. How lovely would the building boxes look sandwiched between books on a book shelf?

If you're looking for more NYIGF images, be sure to take a peek at my Instagram feed too!

I'm pleased to report that Crow and Canary's debut at the National Stationery Show was a smashing success, so much so that I didn't get a moment away from my own booth that didn't include eating a frenzied lunch or visiting the washroom. A wonderful dilemma to have, but I must admit that I'm still in mourning that I wasn't able to walk the show a bit. Luckily, I've been able to live vicariously through some other great blogger's coverage - that helps ease the sting a bit.

On the bright side, my lovely friend Amy of Old Sweet Song will be back next week with her NSS coverage. I was so very fortunate to have her as a C&C correspondent at the Javits. So, five more days of paper geekery headed your way, sweet readers.

I'm getting every thing in order for the Pacific Northwest Bookseller's show this week and officially have book art and book-themed stationery on the brain. I have about a thousand and two things I should be doing in preparation for the trade show, but had to take a moment to share some of my favorites!

la mart wrap up

{mulberry paper lamps by daylight wasting time and papergoods from cartolina}

Anyone that's exhibited at a trade show or craft show understands the importance of good neighbors. I sincerely couldn't have asked for better people to be surrounded by in Los Angeles!

{image via gogogear}
Having a booth directly across from gogogear was a challenge. I'm a real sucker for luxury leather goods and I spent more time than I should admit debating over which bag I should make my very own. I settled on the above beauty and couldn't be more pleased with my decision. This baby is a looker and has roller wheels. What more can girl ask for?

Julie and Shelby of Yesterday's Best were very fun to chat with. Their line of hand-glittered nostalgic imagery cards are breathtaking in person. These ladies have over 500 cards in their collection, and claim that glitter has made its way onto nearly every object they own.

Leah of Pressed Ink, completely embodied the perfect booth neighbor. Pressed Ink is a modern line of paper goods, specializing in lovely monogrammed notecards and notepads. The line was recently featured in People magazine.

Michele and Suzie held down the fort at Xela Aroma. They had the sweetest smelling booth featuring reed diffusers and soy candles. Michele was the unofficial DJ for our aisle and I loved watching her channel Ellen DeGeneres's with her awesome dance moves.

bird badge from b

On Portland's first snowy day, my mister and I braved the Super Colossal Holiday Sale. We immediately found Moth & Squirrel's booth and I fell head over heals for all of their wares. I made a comment about how lovely their custom name tags were and wondered about getting one made for my next trade show. B obviously made a mental note, as my arrival home last week greeted me with the most perfect gift. I'll only have to resist wearing it before my next show...
